| FAQ What is the forumites catalogue?: -The forumites catalogue is a catalogue of prints (and only prints) of your work. Once a month all the new images a gathered and put on to a youtube video. Images are also used on the iFX forumites facebook group. Why would I want my prints in the catalogue?: -By having you prints in the catalogue your prints advertised for free on youtube, facebook and deviant art news feature. This may get more people to view your images and hopefully even buy some of your prints, making you some money for your portfolio. How much will this cost me? -The entire service is free! There is no catch but it would be nice if you could supply a print every month (no obligation to do so) I have put a print in the catalogue but it will not show: -All images must first be in the featured gallery. If they have not been moved by the end of the day send me a note (I am only human and even I miss things) I don't think I am good enough to be in the catalogue. How good do you have to be to get in the catalogue? -As long as some effort has been placed in the image it will always have a place in the catalogue. I want as many artists to have a chance at selling their work. Naturally the stuff of a higher standard will gain more attention from the public but nobody will ever be turned away. How many prints can I submit in one month? -As many as you want. In fact I encourage multiple prints. Why has the cut off date changed? -The cut of date was the end of the second Sunday of each month but I found this hard to work with as it meant I was working on the youtube video on the weekdays. by changing it to the second Friday of each month I can work on the video over the weekend when I have more time. My image is in the catalogue but I don't want it used on facebook, youtube , or anywhere else. -I should have sent you a note saying I am using your image. If you wish it not to be used on anything other I plan on using it for just reply to that note with a message along the lines of "I do not wish for my work to be used on facebook" If you do not wish for your work to be used period just replace facebook with "anything" Can I opt out after the cut off date? - yes except for the youtube video as I can't remove single images without removing the youtube video. Will I still get credit for the image? - If I use the image I will give your deviantart name in the title and a link in the description. Only exception is the youtube video as I cannot fit multiple names in the youtube title. Instead I will put your name in the video next to your image. Your name and link to your images will also be in the youtube description along with a not saying all art work is owned by the creators of said art work. Do you accept fan art? - No, too many legal implications. Sorry. Can you provide proof that you will not abuse my work and post it without giving me credit? -Here are the links to the Facebook gallery and youtube video. If you are unsure about something feel free to PM me with whatever concerns you may have. Hope this answers all your questions about the catalogue. I will be more than happy to answers any more questions you may have. As of today IFX forumites will be running an opt out catalogue system. What this means is if you post a print in the feature section I will automatically place it in the catalogue and a note will be sent to you asking if you would like it removed. If I receive no reply before the catalogue cut off date I will assume you want it kept in there and The image will be used in the facebook group, you tube video, Deviantart news feature, etc. You will still get full credit for your work and a link will be provided to the work/works in question. If you reply the image is taken off straight away and not used in any media outside the featured gallery. This will not affect prints posted before this blog was posted. Future of the catalogue: The PDF idea is hiatus for the foreseeable future as I have no idea of where to host the PDF. Also I feel the youtube video is enough for the time being.
